# Refresh intents

[Refresh Intents](/api/movements-api/refresh-intents/refresh-intents-object) are attempts to update a `Link` connected to Fintoc.\
These endpoints let you request updates on demand and view each attempt's result.

You don't need to poll the Fintoc API for updates. Fintoc's [webhook system](/guides/resources/webhooks-walkthrough) notifies you when an account receives the latest movements available from the bank.
