# Refresh intents

[Refresh Intent](/reference/movements-api/refresh-intents/refresh-intents-object) are attempts to update a `Link` that's connected to Fintoc.\
These endpoints will allow you to generate *on-demand* updates and see their results.

Remember that using resources to query the Fintoc API constantly is **not necessary**. Through our [webhook system](/docs/resources/webhooks-walkthrough), we can alert you whenever an account has been updated with the latest movements available in the bank.
