You manage your organization’s users from the Team section of the dashboard settings. This page explains how to find that section, invite and remove users, and unblock users who are locked out. To invite, edit, or remove users, you need the Manage access level on the Team resource. Among the predefined roles, only Admin includes the Manage access level. To learn more about roles and access levels, see Permission roles.

Open the Team section

  1. In the dashboard, click your organization’s name at the top of the left sidebar.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Open the Team section.
The Team section lists every user in your organization, along with their role, two-factor authentication (2FA) status, and last login.

Invite a user

  1. In the Team section, click Invite.
  2. Enter the user’s email and click Continue.
  3. Choose a role for the user. You can also select Custom role or Copy permissions from an existing user. Only Admins can assign the Admin role.
  4. If you chose Admin, click Send invitation. Otherwise, click Continue to permissions, review each access level, and click Confirm.
Fintoc sends the user an email with a link to create an account. If the user does not receive the email, open the options menu on the user’s row and select Resend invitation.

Edit or remove a user

To edit a user’s permissions:
  1. In the Team section, click the user’s row.
  2. Change the user’s role or access levels.
  3. Click Save changes.
To remove a user, open the options menu on the user’s row and select Remove. You cannot change the role of, or remove, a user who has the Admin role and has already accepted their invitation. An Admin can still grant another Admin permissions per account, such as transfer approval. See Treasury.

Make a user an Admin

Only Admins can make another user an Admin. Open the user’s row, select Admin as the role, click Save changes, and then click Promote to Admin. You cannot undo this promotion from the dashboard.

Unblock a locked account

Fintoc blocks a dashboard account in two situations: too many failed password attempts, or too many failed 2FA code attempts.

Failed password attempts

After too many failed login attempts, the dashboard shows Account blocked. Fintoc sends the user an email with instructions to unlock the account. If the user does not receive the email, contact support through the chat.

Failed 2FA code attempts

The first time a user exceeds the limit of 2FA code attempts, Fintoc blocks the account temporarily. The user can try again after 10 minutes. A 2FA block applies only to the organization where the user exceeded the limit. If the user keeps failing, Fintoc keeps the account blocked until the user can reset 2FA:
  • For a non-Admin user: An Admin opens the options menu on the user’s row in the Team section and selects Allow MFA reset. Fintoc emails the user a link to set up 2FA again.
  • For an Admin: Click Contact Support on the blocked screen, or contact support through the chat.
