To use any Fintoc product, you need a user in the Fintoc dashboard and an organization for your company. This page explains who can sign up and how to create both. If a teammate already uses Fintoc, ask an Admin in their organization to invite you instead. See Manage your team.

Requirements

To use Fintoc, your business must meet all of these requirements:
  • A company tax ID. In Mexico, this is your company’s Mexican tax ID (RFC), which has 12 characters. In Chile, this is your company’s Chilean tax ID (RUT).
  • A bank account in your company’s name. Fintoc only sends your payouts to an account associated with your company’s RFC or RUT.
  • An email address on your company’s domain. Sign up with a corporate email, not a personal one such as Gmail or Hotmail.
Fintoc doesn’t accept individuals, including a natural person with business activity (persona natural con giro). Your company also needs at least 6 months of business activity, counted from the start date on your business initiation certificate. If your company is younger, the Dashboard shows an error when you upload the certificate and you can’t complete the onboarding. These requirements apply to every Fintoc product, including Payments and Movements. Confirm that your business meets them before you build your integration in test mode.

Step 1: Tell Fintoc about your business

Open the Fintoc dashboard and click Start here. The dashboard asks you four sets of questions:
  1. Let’s start with you: your first name, last name, country of operation (Chile or Mexico), phone number with its country code, and work email.
  2. Tell us about your company: when your company was incorporated, your company website, and your company’s tax ID, either a Chilean tax ID (RUT) in Chile or a Mexican tax ID (RFC) in Mexico. If your company isn’t registered in the country you chose, select the checkbox and enter its foreign tax ID.
  3. Tell us about your operation: your trade name, industry, and number of employees.
  4. What do you want to solve with Fintoc?: select at least one use case.
Click Continue after each set. Depending on your answers, the dashboard then lets you book a meeting with Fintoc’s team or choose how Fintoc contacts you (call, WhatsApp, or email).
If you sell on Shopify, the dashboard offers to connect your store and you continue the setup from the Fintoc app in Shopify. See Shopify.

Step 2: Create your user

On the last screen, click Create my account. Then create your user in one of these ways:
  • Email and password. The email is the work email you entered in step 1. Enter a password with at least 8 characters. Include at least 3 of these 4 character types: a lowercase letter, an uppercase letter, a number, and a special character (!@#$%^&*). Accept the Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy, then click Create account.
  • Google or GitHub. Click Continue with Google or Continue with GitHub. The Google or GitHub account must use the same email you entered in step 1. Otherwise, the dashboard shows The email addresses do not match.

Step 3: Verify your email

Fintoc sends a verification link to your email. Click the link to activate your user. If the email doesn’t arrive, click Resend on the Verify your email screen.

Step 4: Sign in and set up two-factor authentication

Sign in to the dashboard. The dashboard requires two-factor authentication, so the first time you sign in you set it up with an authenticator app. See Set up two-factor authentication.

Step 5: Create your organization

After you sign in, the dashboard shows Create your organization in Fintoc. The dashboard fills in the fields with what you entered in step 1.
  1. Check the Company Name. If another organization already uses that name, the dashboard asks you to choose another one.
  2. Check the Country of Operation: Chile or Mexico.
  3. Optionally, enter a Contact phone.
  4. Click Create.
You can now build your integration in test mode. When you create an organization in Chile, Fintoc also starts a free 2-week Movements trial. See Movements free trial.
